Meknes: four suspects arrested by international car trafficking network

The network acted in stolen cars.

Based on accurate intelligence DGST arrested the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ) on Monday in Meknes four other people suspected of having ties with the international auto trade network of stolen cars, which was recently dismantled in Fez and Salé.

The surveys conducted by the security services have led to the arrest, in the Centre of Meknes, the four suspects for their alleged involvement in the theft of cars, said the Directorate General of national security (DGSN ) in a statement. The suspects aged between 25 and 47 years old are also suspected stolen cars to sell on the domestic market after faking the documents.

Three cars of unknown origin and a sum of money (67,000 dirham), mobile phones and mechanical tools which were used to the identification marks of the vehicle to hide, were seized.

The suspects were taken into custody for investigation by the BNPJ, by order of the public prosecutor's Office, in order to find possible accomplices of this criminal network.
