More than 70 years on, receives American veteran Moroccan Medal of honour (video)
The 90-year-old Kenneth Lincoln received last Sunday then finally, over 70 years later, the Moroccan Medal of honour (Wissam Alaouite).
Lincoln made in the summer of 1946, when 18 years old, part of a group of young U.s. Navy officers who risk their lives a large fire contested in Rabat. Various huts of straw went in flames. The Medal was already awarded him after the incident, but he never received it.
Lieutenant Commander Chakir Eaves of the Moroccan Royal Navy was present at the ceremony.
