Lalla Salma Foundation launches a unit for the treatment of breast and uterine cancer in Dakar
Co-financed by the Lalla Salma Foundation, which is committed to the prevention and treatment of cancer, was a screening and treatment unit for breast and cervical cancer on november 28, inaugurated in the health center of Gaspard K in Dakar.
This is the official launch of the pilot phase of the project for breast and cervical cancer early detection in the central district of Dakar, the Moroccan news agency MAP.
This project will be jointly financed by the Lalla Salma Foundation, as part of the agreement signed with the Serve Senegal Foundation, and the International Agency for research on cancer (IARC), an agency of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The inauguration of this unit is part of the project '', which consists of the implementation of a pilot program for screening of breast and cervical cancer in Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Chad.
The Lalla Salma Foundation will also provide equipment and funding for training sessions, while IARC through technical support participates in this project.
