The American ship USS Vella Gulf makes stopover in Agadir

The stopover is made in the context of strengthening relations between the United States and Morocco.

The American ship USS Vella Gulf (CG72) makes since 28 november a stop in the port of Agadir for a planned visit in the context of strengthening relations between the United States and Morocco.

This stopover, which lasts up to 2 december, is part of the "mutual cooperation between the two Nations to strengthen regional security and stability".

The air defence ship, with a crew of 342, is in Morocco for joint exercises with the Moroccan Royal Navy, reports H24Info.

The captain of the ship, Robert Thompson, said that "the crew of the ship the tires with the Moroccan partners like tightens by discovering the rich Moroccan history".
