Morocco and Portugal sign 12 cooperation agreements

The Portuguese Prime Minister was for a two-day working visit to Morocco.

At the end of the 13th session of the High Commission for bilateral cooperation was held in Rabat on Tuesday, the head of the Government were Saad Eddine El Othmani and his Portuguese counterpart, Antonio Costa, present at a signing ceremony with twelve agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed.

These agreements cover a wide range of areas such as digital management, maritime cooperation, geology and mining, renewable energy, tourism, culture and the modernization of the administration. The two sides have on this occasion also the forthcoming elektriciteitsinterconnectie between Portugal and Morocco announced.

On this occasion the Portuguese Prime Minister welcomed the role of King Mohammed VI in Africa.  Antonio Costa, on behalf of his country, an economic center of Morocco, with the goal to contribute to the development of Africa.

In his speech said Saad Eddine El Othmani that both parties the question of the Moroccan Sahara raised. "We have called the proposal for autonomy, Portugal's position is in line with ours, that of a just political settlement at this point.
