N: DGSN examines police officer suspected of blackmail

The Directorate General of national security (DGSN) seems corruption within their own ranks seriously and hard to deal with.

The brigade of the judicial police of Nador has opened a judicial inquiry to a police officer (with the rank of brigadier) because of his alleged involvement in a blackmail case, reports a statement by the Directorate-General for the National Security (DGSN).

The national security service had received a complaint from a person who claimed to be blackmailed by a person who introduced himself as a policeman, DGSN said in the statement.

This complaint required the opening of detailed research that led to the arrest of the suspect who indeed turned out to be a police officer. The police officer is subject to a judicial inquiry under the supervision of the competent parquet, to the ins and outs of this case to clarify, concludes the statement.
