Casablanca: solar energy for electricity of the tram network

The company Casa transport wants to start an ambitious project in which solar energy provides the electricity of the tram network.

Providing solar power for electricity of the tram network is the new ambitious project by the local development company (SDL) Casa transport. The latter has issued a call for tender.

Casa transport is particularly looking for companies interested in financing, installation and maintenance of photovoltaic panels that provide electricity to the grid, reports Lefr360.

The call for proposals concerns both the T1 line as the T2 line that is currently being built, but also the other lines that are planned for the medium term, particularly the T3 and T4-lines of the tramway and the L5 and L6-lines.

Candidates have until 31 January to show their interest and to make a proposal.
