Inezgane: hunters received a fine of 50,000 dirhams for killing a gazelle

The Court in Inezgane condemned two hunters to pay 10,000 and 40,000 dirhams for killing a gazelle in Chtouka.

Two hunters must pay 10,000 and 40,000 respectively dirham fine for killing a gazelle. The dune gazelle, also known as the sand gazelle, is a gazellensoort that has adapted to the extreme conditions of the desert. The species is threatened with extinction and hunting of these animals is prohibited.

The two persons in question were arrested in Chtouka after inspectors of the Water and forest management them red-handed doodling. The two men have taken on the gazelle denied attempts to hunt, arguing that the animal was accidentally killed by a bullet while on a Partridge.

One of the hunters is currently being detained while the second is free on bail. The weapons of both hunters were also seized by the Water and forest management, reports H24Info.
