Regina: higher education remains free in Morocco

Persistent rumors about the end of free public higher education raging for quite a few days in Morocco.

At the end of the weekly meeting of the Governing Council on Thursday January 4, said Mustafa Regina, spokesman of the Government, which will continue to free higher education in Morocco.

"The draft law on education, training and scientific research introduces registration fees only for rich families."

Its adoption will be based on a regulatory text that takes into account the level of income and ability to pay.

After approval it will be presented to Parliament.
