IMF Director Lagarde received by Abdellatif Jouahri in Marrakech

Director Christine Lagarde of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) arrived yesterday in Marrakech.

LaGarde was greeted upon arrival by the Bank Al-Maghrib-managerial Abdellatif Jouahri.

"I am very glad that I'm in Morocco for the ' Opportunity4MENA'-Conference and that I warmly welcomed by Mr Jouahri," wrote Christine Lagarde on her Twitter account.

LaGarde is present on the top that is held on 29 and 30 January in Marrakech to the implementation of the economic growth in the MENA region to discuss. The Summit is organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), the Arab Fund for economic and social development (Fades) and the Moroccan Government.

This Summit will discuss the challenges that need to be addressed in terms of economic growth and creating jobs in Arab countries. The purpose of this Conference is to find solutions to create job opportunities, especially for women and young people. This objective should be achieved by "innovation and entrepreneurship, to promote transparency and technology to exploit the potential of the region and policies conducive to higher growth and more including is," reported the IMF earlier, through a statement.
