Education: Amzazi bans cell phones in the classroom, also for teachers

Barely appointed to the head of the Moroccan Ministry of education, Said Amzazi decided to ban cell phones in the classroom.

In a ministerial note issued on 25 January, calls the successor of Mohamed Hassad the Inspectors-General in charge of educational and administrative matters, directors of regional academies, training centres, schools, inspectors and teachers to "students and school officials to permanently ban mobile phones in classrooms to use".

According to the Minister of education this resolution would contribute to "ensuring a favourable environment for education directors to perform their duties in good conditions".
