Justice in France complains Ramadan to

The Swiss scientist Tariq Ramadan, Professor of Islamic studies, remains in custody in France.

Ramadan was Wednesday taken into custody for questioning, when he answered a call from the police in Paris. The public prosecutor has him officially yesterday against a follow-up investigation on suspicion of rape of two women.

Ramadan, which in november are temporarily interrupted work at the University of Oxford, has rejected the allegations and vowed to prosecute the women judicial for libel. The French Prosecutor considers it nevertheless justified on the basis of the preliminary findings to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to bring the islam expert.
