Hajj: eleven Moroccan travel agencies sanctioned

The Ministry of tourism has eleven travel agencies sanctioned because of failure to comply with their obligations during Hajj 2017 (1438).

L'Economiste reports that the Ministry of tourism has sanctioned eleven travel agents, they are not allowed to participate in "operation Hajj 2018" (1439). It would be five travel services in Casablanca (Abdou Voyages, Alizés Travel, Evency Morocco, Fly Well and Voyages Mille et Une Nuits), two travel agencies in Agadir (Illigh Voyages and Touring Office Agadir), in Mohammedia (Fedala Voyages), a Bada ( Zem Zem Asfar), one in Beni Mellal (Assfar) and one in Tiznit (Al Oumra).

These agencies are accused of non-compliance with the specifications during Hajj 2017. The ban on participation in "operation Hajj 2018" followed a thorough investigation by the relevant departments on the responsibilities of the said travel agencies, writes the newspaper.

The list of selected agencies is available on the portal site of the Ministry (www.tourisme.gov.ma), the Government wants to "prevent the scenario of 2017 and agencies that failed to fulfil their obligations sanctioning".  During "operation Hajj 2017" there arose a lot of problems with the accommodation of pilgrims of 22 travel agencies, including 17 members of the national Club of Moroccan travel agencies (CNAVM).
