541 kg cocaine seized in the port of Casablanca

The Moroccan security and intelligence service (BCIJ) 541 kg cocaine took to complete that was hidden in a sea container from South America.

This operation, which took place on the basis of accurate intelligence DGST, led to the arrest of 6 people. Among them was also the mastermind of this criminal network, a Brazilian citizen, BCIJ reported in a statement.

The elements of the BCIJ names seized five cars that were intended to be used for the transport of the cocaine. There was also a large sum of money, in both national and foreign currencies, seized.

The preliminary research revealed the dangerous nature of this criminal network, the transnational ramifications and connections to cartels in Latin America. The cartels try the strategic location of the Kingdom as a transit point to Europe to exploit, BCIJ stressed.
