Casablanca: New terminal at Mohammed V International Airport near completion

It has a lot of years, but the new terminal of the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca is almost complete.

According to documents of the National Airport Authority ONDA, 96% reached the completion percentage has. The building is scheduled for late March 2018 and the inauguration for June 2018.

The project consists of the redevelopment of the existing building and its extension over 3 floors with an area of 32,000 m2 to 72,000 m2. There are 84 check-in counters, 100 passport control posts, 27 screening stations and 17 gates.

There is also installed state-of-the-art security equipment for detecting explosives, drugs and dangerous substances and video surveillance.

The project was started in 2009, suspended in 2010 and then resumed in 2014 (to date).
