UNESCO: a project for the empowerment of young people in Morocco

UNESCO has set up a project to more than 8000 young people from Morocco to train among other things to take initiatives to online hate.

With a budget of EUR 2 million is the title of this two-year project: "prevention of violent extremism by the empowerment of youth in Jordan, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia".

One wants to professionals of online media and young people mobilize communities to combat radicalisation and hate speech by means of training and development of online campaigns.

In addition to strengthening programs for religious authorities to prevent violent extremism, there will be a training for journalism in conflict areas are offered to these young people. One wants to create change through an inclusive and multidimensional approach to themes such as youth, education, culture, communication and information, says the Organization on its website.
