Brother terror suspect Abdeslam remains in cell

The older brother of terror suspect Salah Abdeslam remains in the cell.

The 31-year-old Mohamed was arrested last week for involvement in a robbery on officials in the Brussels commune of Molenbeek.

The Council Chamber of the Court in Brussels yesterday extended the custody of him and a co-defendant with a month. The duo denies involvement, their lawyers had asked for their release because there is too little evidence. They can still appeal.

At the robbery in January were three officials under threat of a knife forced 70,000 euro. They were on the way to a bank to deposit money.

Mohamed Abdeslam has ten years for the commune of Molenbeek worked and was was aware of the money transports. His brother Salah (28) is the only surviving terrorist from the attacks in Paris, where in november 2015 130 deaths.
