Renard adds talented Bassi from Ligue 2 to preselection

With his 20 years Amine Bassi is currently one of the talents to follow at second divisionist AS Nancy, the midfielder was previously only part of Morocco U20.

More than a month ago, Amine Bassi was still in the news because of an alleged refusal for a call for Morocco U20, the message went viral in no time so that the midfielder could do nothing but contradict it. Through his official channels, he told friends and foes never to turn their backs to the national team, more than a month later it even seems that national coach Hervé Renard has dropped his eye on the strong keeper of AS Nancy.

Playing football did Bassi at SAS Epinal before he made the switch to the club in the summer of 2015, where former internationals Youssef Hadji and Michaël Chrétien Basser are also under contract. The counter for the current season stands for Bassi on 6 goals and 7 assists from 25 official matches (Ligue 2, Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue). With these statistics, it could just be that the young talent can make an appearance in the A-selection of Morocco by the end of this month (practice matches Serbia and Uzbekistan).

The Moroccan medium DM Sport reports that the midfielder has a preselection in his pocket. It is unclear whether this interland period will be introduced in the recently announced B-team of Morocco. In that case, Bassi, if found too light for the first, would logically be placed with the reserves.
