Morocco is the first destination of Spanish tourists when it comes to travel outside Europe, said Mohamed Sofi, the delegate of the national Office for tourism (ONMT) in Madrid.

"Last year there were more than 2,350,000 Spanish tourists who visited Morocco, an increase of 8% compared to 2016," he said in a statement to the Moroccan news agency MAP.

He recalled that the number of French tourists in Morocco still the highest, but the Spaniards on number two.
